About the Founder:
Mickey Trescott, MSc.
Hi, I’m Mickey, and I know what it’s like to live with autoimmune disease. In my mid-20s, I was diagnosed with both Hashimoto’s and celiac disease after years of crushing fatigue, anxiety, and a long list of mysterious symptoms.
It was overwhelming and honestly pretty scary—I wanted to feel better, but I wasn’t sure where to start. That’s when I discovered AIP, which gave me back my energy, improved my symptoms, and showed me that I could play an active role in my own healing. It wasn’t an overnight transformation, but step by step I began to feel like myself again.
I’ve been part of the AIP community since the very beginning, helping it grow from a small grassroots experiment into a global movement now supported by millions. Over the past 12+ years, I’ve had the privilege of watching AIP transform lives, while also evolving alongside new medical research, practitioner insights, and patient experiences. Along the way, I wrote four international best-selling books, including The Nutrient-Dense Kitchen and The New Autoimmune Protocol. My work has always centered on making AIP practical, accessible, and sustainable—so that anyone, anywhere, can put it into action.
Today, AIP is both science-backed and community-proven, and my mission is to guide the next wave of people seeking healing using this powerful framework.
